Snow on May 24, 2010! Auwe!

This photo, taken yesterday in the afternoon,  is of the mountainside very near our RV park. We were cozy and warm in  Bigfoot but there was much weather distress for those who needed to go outside. Big related topic was the ruined tomato plants and damaged fruit trees
Wide shot from our doorway looking aft.

A little bit wider shot shows the early morning snowfall covering the mountain down to what they call "the benches" (in CA speak "the foothills"). Notice there is no snow on the "valley floor" (or "ground"). It actually fell during the day, but as they take comfort in saying around here, "it didn't stick".
Becca and I ventured outside to take these photos in the afternoon temp of mid 30ies. But in the spirit of fairness, it's up into the 50ies today (5/25). We had a picnic lunch outside right here today with Ganon and Heidi's family and it was toasty warm in the sun; (but we stayed out of the shade).

I was not too happy to see the white stuff covering my garden and my van. Good thing we know it is Never Safe to put away the window scraper. We did enjoy the return of Spring today and the lovely picnic.

We're having the same weather here in Northern California. Temps in the 60's, rain in the valley and snow at 7,000 feet...but they're forcasting 80's for the weekend. We'll see.

Well, spring weather in Utah changes quickly so snow was a pain but not a surprise. Stay warm, see ya soon.
