Here we are today (5/14/10) at the BYU track and field facility for the Utah State High School qualifying meet. Being here is a Big Deal! The track is set up for the girls' 300 meter hurdles, one of Jenny Connelly's events. She is representing Hunter HS, one of the state's 5A schools. These are the largest schools in the state and usually field the best and fastest athletes
And here she is! Our very own Flyin' Hawaiian just after she clears this hurdle.
Here is Jenny's Mom keeping track of the action. (Notice the May snow in the bg!!)
Fans Becca and Jon. Becca wasn't sure what athletic event we were going to, so she wore her Dodger shirt--close enough
Aaron and Nathan having a snack with always-working Mom having her version of a snack

The Flyin' Hawaiian, carrying the team's baton, is in the outside lane. Note: she is going so fast that both feet are off the ground.
We are very proud of Jenny! On June 4th she graduates from high school. On June 14th she begins at the University of Utah as an honor student with scholarships and Pell Grant giving her a full ride. IMUA!!

Jenny has left a legacy for others to follow in the Hunter High track program. I'm glad she made it to the finals one last time. Rycharn was there to see her 10:30 am run.
Thanks for sharing the highlights. We are glad you were able to be there to show support. We're very excited for Jenny and her fun plans for the future.
Great job Jenny!! I love following all your adventures on Gramma and Papa Connelly's Blogs! Good luck at BYU! I know that you will be just fine.
