Cove Fort

Along side I 15 is a little historic site of a "rest stop" for pioneers traveling between SLC and St. George. Here we are in the modern rest stop. Gramma found a great rock for Emma

that is a nice looking rest stop. Emma will be very excited to get a rock... she loves them. And if you find any money on the ground lily says she would like some:)

Cove Fort is a fun place to visit. We haven't been there in quite some time but found it quite a miracle that the historic site was spared from the recent wild fire. It was evacuated and the fire stopped like 100 yards from the property or something like that and went in a different direction.
Stephanie also has a love of rocks like her cousin Emma. However, Stephanie's Mom never let her keep any rocks indoors. Except once when she bought a collection of pretty ones at the Kennocott Copper Mine. Unfortunately, they seem to be lost. Her outdoor collections look like ordinary rocks to me but she loves them.
Christopher enjoyed making a collection of rocks for Cub Scouts. It was several years ago with the help of Jessie. They glued them to a board and he typed the names on the computer and they put them underneath. We still have that for him.
