As with a "regular" home, an RV home occasionally needs to have new appliances. This picture is our new Amana oven/cooktop. It replaces a worn out convection oven that came with the RV when we bought it in '04. It never worked especially well, and when it died last March, Gramma wanted to replace it with a gas (propane in an RV) oven. After much research of the various models available and after determining that the tech guys at Motor Sportsland (our favorite RV service place) could make the change, we went ahead. Last week it was installed. It was an involved project completed by talented workmen. Looks nice, yeah?
Gramma decided that her first baking project would be a favorite muffin recipe she got at Paul Prudhomme's restaurant in Louisiana. It is called New Orleans Black Muffins, made with molasses.
In a summer of RV problems, this is a pleasant change of pace.
