Monday, 8/13/12, Gramma sent out the word to the West Valley children and grandchildren, that the Auswanderers would be in the SLC KOA for one night.
The turnout made Gramma's heart glad. Every child, spouse and grandchild came. Below she enjoys a moment with Michael, down from Logan to have some dental work done in preparation to turn in his papers to go on a mission.
Two of Becca's favorite people were there, Rycharn (who she calls for some reason "Gernard") on his dinner break from KSL, and Kelly, who she calls "Kelly Ann--she's my sister"
Gramma's eldest, Jon, brought Kimmie, Kevin, Aaron, Ben and Nate to the party. The big nice KOA pool is a real attraction to visit, especially on these warm summer days.
Sweet Kimmie, a high school senior this year, has two jobs this summer. She came between her early job and her late job. We were glad she was able to come for a moment
Jenny and Sam came (that's them lovey-dovey in the chair to the left). Cathy Connelly, the dynamic Mary Kaye lady on the right, was able to come after her busy day.
Guess who is still in a honeymoon state of mind? This is Sam and Jenny's car, if you didn't guess right, still with the fun message on the rear window.
It took six separate cars to bring all of us together.
It took six separate cars to bring all of us together.
There was a cake and cupcakes to celebrate (sort of) all of the birthdays in August and September, especially Kelly and Jon who share the same date --9/13.
Chris, James and Aaron enjoyed the picnic dinner. So did Nate, Buffet Guy, (not in this pic)who, we think, sampled everything.
Ben models one of Gramma's special popsicles that she ordered for the party.
The Freeman family helps to clean up at the end of a fun family party.
As parents and grandparents, Gramma and Papa feel very blessed. The 19 of us at Gramma's Party enjoyed the joy of being a family for a few hours. And we thought about the three other families too far away to be with us --Ganon and Heidi, Megan and Arnie, Amanda and Eric. What a Clan!!
