When the girls opened the motorhome door "Ooooohs! Yuk! Come looks at this!" A bison had visited our campsite in the night and left a calling card 15 feet away.
Part of the day (8/24) was spent taking a short car ride along the lake until we could get a cell signal and call Amanda to coordinate plans. The rest of the Reynolds family would join us in the early afternoon. While we waited we got out Gramma's scooter and the girls' bikes and there was riding around the loop in the beautiful weather enjoying the heavy pine smell.
When they got there, Eric and Amanda put up their spacious tent in the site next to the motorhome.
We got the fire going. Carson was all about it. Over the next few hours he threw many sticks into the pit to keep the blaze going
Amanda brought the makin's for "Sloppy Joes". Lily said,"My Mom makes great Sloppy Joes". She was right. We had a nice dinner around the campfire.
Amanda was one of the main planners of our wonderful YS adventure.
When Emma and Lily went shopping with Gramma for the trip grub, they got marshmallows for roasting. They were called "Giant Roasters" and they were the size of softballs. What a mess! But fun
Here Becca has her marshmallow on the stick. She managed to burn the end. We laughed and laughed
Day 3 ended around the embers of the campfire, enjoying the company of family and a remarkable show of stars in the pitch black sky.
