The VDO Mardi Gras (as you know is French for Fat Tuesday) parade is a favorite activity of ours. The route goes right past our site. Like most holiday events, the folks here go all out. This VW sports decorations done by the quilt ladies.
Here is the award winning float. The many ukes made us feel at home.

Then the party moved to the ballroom for shrimp and pulled pork.
