Lunch with Catherine and Marv

There is a famous little cafe along highway 17, about half way between Mesa and Prescott. It has a fun website if you're interested. Pies are a big draw for Rock Springs Cafe
Inside the doors there is an old fashion collection of stuff. Becca loved this horse
Aunt Catherine and Uncle Marvin suggested we meet there today (3/27). It was a good idea. This is the first face time we have had with them since Catherine's knee replacement surgery. She has recovered nicely and deems the surgery a success.
Marv and Catherine bought a second home in Northern California near the Oregon border. Marv is looking forward to fly fishing on the river in their back yard.
The cafe has fun wild west flavor place mats.
I chose for my lunch the intriguingly labeled "2 Gun Chili". I had almost eaten it all before thinking to take a photo. It was spicy but very ono.
Then it was pie time. As advertised, Gramma's apple pie, Marv's coconut creme and my rhubarb pie were great. My pie was gone before I thought to take its photo
Marv is Becca's Arizona hunky guy
We five had a nice visit, caught up on news and said "aloha" until next season
