JJ

Friday, 3/30/12, was very busy for us. Among our errands was 'settling up' in the office. The lady in the middle, JJ, is an amazing lady in many ways. She is an intelligent, efficient front desk person with a command of the complicated computer system that records and tracks the accounts of the several thousand VDO residents. But what is more impressive to us is her superior people-skills. We have been in line as she has handled a wide variety of problems in a never-hurried, always-friendly and patient manner. We have concluded that she genuinely likes people and they can tell.

And she has made a fast friend of Becca. For those of you who know Becca know that this is unusual. While Becca loves her sisters and likes other ladies outside of the family, she prefers being with the guys. For years she has selected to go to priesthood meetings with Papa, rather than Relief Society. On Saturday (3/31), Becca decided to go to the General Priesthood broadcast with Papa. As far as I could tell she was the only female among 1000 guys. It wasn't a problem for her. Plus she had no lines at the ladies restroom.

Over our three seasons at VDO, JJ and Becca have developed a fun relationship. They joke and tease and laugh over the counter as JJ seemingly, effortlessly takes care of our business. I think this photo accurately captures Becca's feelings for this special friend. We hope she will be here again next year.
